LECO is Bringing Its Latest Innovation to ASMS

The 72nd Annual American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Conference is taking place from 2 June – 6 June. We’ll be in attendance, and we’ll have our all-new BenchTop Mass Spectrometer, the Pegasus BTX, with us! Check out this new advancement in mass spectrometry and ask our experts anything you’re wanting to know at Booth 500.

We’re also very excited to tell you that we’ll have a total of eight poster presentations over four days. Our presentations will cover a wide range of topics, all of which you can find here on our website, along with a brief description. For example, here is one that we are particularly excited about:

A Long-Lifetime Ion Detector with Sub-Femtogram Detection

Detection efficiency, fast response, and longevity are the critical attributes of ion detectors in TOFMS. The extension of a detector’s lifetime is becoming especially important for the modern GC/GCxGC-TOFMS as improvements in ion transmission efficiency have increased the flux and rate of ions arriving at detectors. Adaptation of GC/GCxGC-TOFMS instrumentation for routine or long-term analysis is demanding a significant extension of an ion detector’s lifetime. Combining all these requirements in a single design is the challenging task we took on.

We will also have an intriguing poster presentation on non-target profiling of catnip, eliminating quantitation bias for GCxGC-TOFMS/FID analysis of traditional and emerging fuels, detection of leachables in topical ointments, and more.

Lastly, the recipient of our GCxGC-TOFMS system for future collaboration will be revealed during ASMS. Learn more about the lucky lab and the wonderful chemist in charge of it when visiting our booth.

We hope to see you in Anaheim!
